Program overview The Course utilises and acknowledges prior learning and professional experience. Each Course begins with a two week period of self-directed assignment work, followed by an introductory intensive week at the University. Six weekend (Saturdays only) learning and teaching and individual performance assessment intensives follow at intervals of approximately three weeks. There is continuous criterion-referenced assessment during the Course and assessment of individual performance tasks takes place over three final weekend sessions.. Students must complete eighty days of placement in a legal environment, twenty of which may have taken place before the start of the Course. The remaining days may be completed during the Course or within six months thereafter.

Admission requirements Students must have completed an LLB, a Diploma of Law offered by the NSW Law Extension Committee (or similar program offered in another State). Depending on workload and subjects completed, students may be able to undertake the course in the final year of their law studies.
